Mighty Thunder Wrestling
The mission statement of the Mighty Thunder Wrestling Club is to provide a foundation from which our young wrestlers can build on throughout their wrestling career. We will support our Beulah/Hazen Miner wrestlers and encourage all wrestlers to do their best and have FUN in the sport of wrestling. In addition to learning wrestling skills we will reinforce Character Counts where trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship will all be a part of our program. We will promote and expect good sportsmanship at all times. We will reinforce the fact that goals can be obtained but it takes hard work, determination, and a positive attitude not only on the wrestling mat but in school and throughout their lives.
Mighty Thunder Wrestling News
Wrestling practice begins on Monday, February 22, 2010. Monday's practice will be for the 2 grade through 6th grade group at 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. On Tuesday and Thursday the preschool through 1st grade will practice from 3:30 to 4:30 with the older group practicing from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. We will try to accommodate your child's needs in regards to practice so if there is a problem with your specific practice time please contact either Coach Mitch Meyer; Coach Todd Meier, or Tracy Mellmer. For some we know not coming until 4:30 for the older group can be an issue and your wrestler is welcome to come to the high school right after school but please know we are not a babysitting service and they will be expected to come, dress for practice, and then sit quietly in the wrestling room either reading or doing homework as the coaches need to focus their attention on the little ones. They WILL NOT be allowed in the hallways, outside, etc.; if this happens then they will be asked to not come until their scheduled time. Thanks for understanding.
Team Pictures March 9th @ 3:30pm. All wrestlers need to be there at 3:30pm. Please wear your Mighty Thunder Shirts and bring your singlets if that is what you want your wrestler's individual picture taken in.
OUR TOURNAMENT IS THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 6TH. WRESTLING BEGINS AT 1:30 P.M. ALL BEULAH WRESTLERS WILL BE BRACKETED UNLESS YOU TELL US OTHERWISE. CONGRATULATIONS TO HUNTER ESLINGER FOR PLACING 5TH IN THIS YEARS STATE CLASS B TOURNAMENT AND TO JARED WEINAND FOR PLACING 3RD. THE MIGHTY THUNDER WRESTLING CLUB IS VERY PROUD OF THESE YOUNG MEN, AS WELL AS ALL OF THE BEULAH MINER WRESTLERS THAT REPRESENTED BEULAH-HAZEN AT BOTH THE REGIONAL AND STATE LEVEL. YOUR YEARS OF HARD WORK ARE SHOWING AND PAYING OFF. GOOD LUCK TO JARED WEINAND AND JORDAN MANN, OUR GRADUATING SENIOR WRESTLERS, WE WILL MISS YOU AND WE WILL SEE THE REST OF YOU BACK NEXT YEAR.
